The Quebec Skilled Worker Program is one of the kinds of Canadian immigration selection system that has been specially designed to identify the applicants who are skilled workers and intend to live in any city within the province of Quebec. This program is based on the special agreement that Quebec has with the Canadian Government concerning the immigration system.

Procedure to apply for the Program

To apply for the Canadian Permanent Residency Visa under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program as a Quebec-selected skilled worker, you must apply in the following stages:

• Quebec Selection Certificate: You would have to apply to the Government of Quebec for a Quebec Selection Certificate; the government of Quebec will access and verify you and your documents using their criteria and rules. The Quebec Selection Certificate would be considered to be proof that shows that the province of Quebec has accepted you as an immigrant.
• Application for Permanent Residency: Once the Province of Quebec chooses you and provides you with the Quebec Selection Certificate, then it become eligible to apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship of Canada for permanent residency.
• Quebec Skilled Worker Points: The next step is that you have to make sure that you met the minimum required score on the Quebec skilled worker assessment grid. If you have sufficient points, then you are eligible to submit your Expression of Interest.
• Certificate of Selection: The last step of the procedure is when the Quebec government shortlist and invite certain applicants to submit the entire application for the certificate of Selection.

Upon receiving the Certificate of selection, an applicant becomes eligible to submit an official application for the Canadian Permanent Residency Visa.
