Parent and Grandparent Super Visa-

Parent and Grandparent Super Visa are long-term components that are a multiple-entry visa for parents as well as for the grandparents of those individuals who hold the permanent residency visa or are the official Canadian citizens. It is a temporary resident permit that allows the parents and the grandparents to stay in Canada for up to 2 years in Canada per visit. It is valid for up to 10 years.

Eligibility Criteria

There are certain conditions that you have to follow to apply for the Super Visa or to be eligible for a super visa. Some of them are as follows: 

1. Parentage: It is necessary that you should either be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or an individual who already holds the permanent residency of Canada.
2. Written Acknowledgement: It is necessary that you should have a written acknowledgment or the signed letter from your child or grandchild who is inviting you to Canada. The acknowledgment must include that your child or grandchild has sufficient funds to support you during your stay in Canada along with a copy of their Canadian citizenship or the permanent residency document.
3. Medical Insurance: It is mandatory that you should have the medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company and it should be valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry and should cover at least CAD 100,000 as of the assured sum. You have to show proof that the medical insurance premium has been paid by you on time.
