Spouse Sponsorship Program is an immigration system through which you can sponsor the name of your spouse for the Canadian Permanent Residency Visa. Eligibility for Applying under Spouse Sponsorship Program

Under this program, you can sponsor your spouse, partner or dependent child by following the below-mentioned requirements:

• Majority Age: You must be of at least 18 years old age.
• Permanent Residency: It is mandatory that you should be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada.
• No Social Assistance: You will have to prove that even presently you’re not receiving any social assistance for any of the reasons other than a disability.

• Sufficient Funds: You will have to prove that you have sufficient funds for the basic needs of your spouse you want to sponsor.

Types of Spousal Sponsorship

There are basically two types of Spouse Sponsorship Program under which you can sponsor your spouse to get the Canadian Permanent Residency Visa.

These are as follows:

• Inland Spousal Sponsorship: It is a kind of sponsorship program under which when you and your spouse are living together in Canada while they are on a valid study permit, work permit, tourist visa or any other immigration program then you can apply for inland spousal sponsorship from within Canada.
• Outland Spousal Sponsorship: It is a kind of sponsorship program under which you would be accorded with an opportunity to apply for a permanent residency visa while living or working abroad. There are open gates or chances that the sponsored person can very easily obtain a temporary visa say in the form of the tourist visa to travel to Canada while their application for the permanent residency visa for Canada is still being processed.
